Located in the heart of Central Illinois, McElvain Sheep Farm has raised Southdown lambs for over 20 years. The farm sits to the northeast of Heyworth on thirteen wooded acres and is home to 35 Southdown ewes and 3 rams. In addition to sheep, the farm accommodates two donkeys, 20 chickens, a cat, and the farm dog, Lucy.

McElvain Sheep have been participants in local, state, and national shows for over 15 years, including:
